THANKFUL FOR: THE TACKINESS OF CHRISTMAS

December 3, 2014Uncategorized

One of the best things about the Christmas Holiday is that you can be as tacky as you want because odds are the person who would judge you is just as tacky when it comes to this time of year. I love having tacky Christmas sweater parties or even wearing your tacky stuff around because it is acceptable during the Holiday season! Tonight, we had a a tacky christmas sweater party for Student Foundation and of course I was excited about it. I don’t really have that one tacky sweater I where every year, but let me tell you I have a tacky Christmas TIE and people love it. Yes, I said tie!! They are the cutest and you can get them at Coker Hampton Drug Company and Gift Shop in downtown Stuttgart. Literally people love it. Y’all know I love being different, and this tie is just that. I mean I get so many complements on it. In fact, tonight I won a cool hat for dressing so tacky. After winning that they also gave us all scarfs… I am now all ready to go skiing in a couple of weeks! (yes I am so excited about that) Today was the start of the Holiday parties and you can bet I am loving it thanks to my great Christmas attire. It is important to be thankful for the weird things we love in life. I used to think these things were so ugly and I didn’t understand why people thought wearing that was fun! I now understand and I am thankful for the weirdness of tacky things during the Christmas Holiday. It is one of those things that puts me in the mood for Christmas. Take time to put on a tacky sweater and listen to Christmas music this Holiday season. Nothing does it better than these two things and maybe a little hot coco. Take advantage of this because after Christmas I will probably judge you for wearing it… sorry about it LOL! You know I am kidding, but seriously it’s only cute during this season! Thank you God for weird things that we love… It wouldn’t be Christmas without the tackiness of the outfit!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful

Hey There

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God’s steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. A recent graduate from Texas Christian University who loves pop culture, TikToks, and dress pants that make you do a double take.  I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks!
