Back on the sloops today and it felt great. It has been a couple of years so I was excited to get back out there! I’m in a new place and with something new, I looked at it as an adventure. I’m the type of skier that just likes to take it easy. I’m not trying to show off or see what all I can do. Instead, I like to ski along watching others and taking in everything that is around me. This means I like the greens the most because they are the easiest! I like the blue’s, but I often find that I worry way to much to have fun. We all like to take it easy, but some are more skilled than others! After an amazing lunch, we split up and mills and I went to the top of the mountain with our Bia because I wanted a really cool picture. I will almost do anything for a great picture! Before we went up, mills kept complaining about how the only way down was via a blue or black, but I didn’t care… I was too excited about the picture! After I got the picture it kind of sunk in that it would not be an easy ride down. Long story short: it was snowing like crazy and our googles fogged up. This caused us to get a little confused on the trail we were going on. We ended up going down a black and I thought I wasn’t going to make it. I don’t know how people do it! Even though it was a hard way down I am thankful for this adventure with Mills and Bia. The pictures were pretty great too! Doing things out of your comfort zone are of course scary, but they often have the best outcome. Today I am thankful for that! I have a feeling I am going to be very sore tomorrow! Tomorow is the last day of 2014 and this was the perfect last adventure for the this year. I am so so thankful!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
