As I have hinted, I am starting something new and I am very excited! As you know I have been selling t-shirts. I have dreams that this brand will grow into something much larger. As Southern and Thankful I think it is extremely important to give back. From now on I will be giving a portion of the month’s sales to a charity. I feel that by doing this my mission statement is complete, “To be a leader wherever I am, and let others see God in me, all while maintaining my Southern roots and daily thankfulness for all God has given me.Good & bad, small or large blessings, I will always be Southern and Thankful.” This puts a real purpose behind my brand. And it is simply the right thing to do. The food bank has taught me so much and they are doing a service for this community that is always going to be needed, so I will be giving back to a place I am so thankful for. Stay tuned on the last Sunday of each month to see who or what Southern and Thankful is going to give back to…It is always sure to be a thankful time!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
THANKFUL FOR: THE ICCM FOOD BANK
I am a big community service guy! I enjoy community service because it is the right thing to do, plus it feels good to help others. You can give back to the community in several ways. One of my favorite places to do this in my community is at the local food bank. I have volunteered there for a long time. Each community has a food bank normally. Generally, it is based on the size of the community. I once worked at a larger facility in Nashville, TN. It was so organized. It was obvious they served a lot of people on a daily basis. My local community food bank is in the back of a church and fits the needs of my community. The local churches take responsibility for the food bank. This means a lot of people get to volunteer and help out. I enjoy help make the bags they give out and organize all the food that is brought in. I have seen that the key is being organized. I always enjoy my time at the ICCM Food Bank in Stuttgart, AR.
