THANKFUL FOR: THE FIRST DAY

August 25, 2014Uncategorized

Today was my first day of college and unlike all my other first days of school, today was different. I didn’t wake up to a nice breakfast. I didn’t wake up to my family or friends. I didn’t wake up at 6:30. I didn’t go to high school and spend seven straight hours learning. Today, I entered the college field. The start of the day was weird and a little sad, but as soon as I made my way to class I realized that I was where I was supposed to be and I realized that I was going to love college!! Now I know many other people have already started school, but since I have just now started mine I now remember why it is so important to the thankful for the first day. That is the day you make your first impression on many people whom you have never meet. Teachers, classmates, faculty, lunch ladies, or even a complete stranger will lay eyes on you and it is so important to to make that great first impression!! For me that was very important being I knew basically no one, but I made sure to meet people and introduce myself to my professors. Today couldn’t have gone any better. Everyday gets easier and I prayer that it stays that way. I’m loving my classes and new friends already! The adjustment has not been the easiest, but with a great first day I am reassured that this is where I am supposed to be. It also helps that I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn! I hope you all are thankful for “first days”  like me! Everything continues to be going up hill! Thank you God for a great first day!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful

So happy for you! Going out of state is not easy but if you say “yes” to as many invites as you can you will start to feel more at home. I am praying for you and for Carson at Baylor!

Hey There

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God’s steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. A recent graduate from Texas Christian University who loves pop culture, TikToks, and dress pants that make you do a double take.  I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks!
