Every year TCU has the annual fall concert which is where they bring a popular artiest in and he or she performs live in our campus commons. All of this is put on by SGA and every student gets in free. It was so cool! This years guest was Jason Derulo and I was super excited! I mean I’m not like an obsessed fan, but he has so many popular songs out and I thought it was pretty cool that TCU was able to book such a big name. I was interested to see him live because some performers either lack entertainment, or they may not sound good live, but let me tell you Jason had no problem with this. He sounded great and the crowd loved it. I was able to actually volunteer for the the event through hall crew and I was saved a nice spot and they put me in the drawing to meet Jason. There were 100 volunteers and they selected 20 out of a 100! I was one of those 20 and I was so excited!!! We got to meet Jason afterwards and take pictures with him! It wasn’t that long, but hey I saw him in person and got to talk to him… Call that a brush with greatness if you will! I am simply thankful for the opportunities that TCU gives its students. Whether it is in the classroom, or out in the commons, they provide for there students and that is something I will always be thankful for! They truly take pride in this and I love it. I mean how many of you can say that you watched Jason Derulo preform live in your college commons and then you got to meet him? This is for sure a memory that I will cherish forever and one that will rank high up there on my TCU top list! I am thankful for this school and the events they put on to make time here extra special. I guess you could say I am still starstruck! Things like these are the best in life. Be thankful for them as long as you live!
