Now you must know I love a good Little Rock trip, especially with my best friends. Of course, with us not living in Stuttgart, it had been a while since the four of us were taking on our state’s capitol together. It was something that I was really missing and today, I am thankful that this worked out. We didn’t do anything in particular, everything was spontaneous! We shopped, went to Starbucks, we ate sushi, we hung out with one of Stephanie’s cool college friend, got ice cream, and even explored down town little rock for a perfect picture location. The jam sessions in the car (which I have on go pro) will forever be added to our memories. I love days like today, more than most!
I see and hear people talk about how board they are at home or how they miss there college friends, and that is completely understandable. I am in this same boat a little bit, but I also can’t help but think where are there high school friends? I in no way mean this rude or in a bad way, but when I see things like this I feel extremely blessed that I have great college and great high school friends. It is always hard not seeing them, but in most circumstances you know they will always be a part of who you are… you will never forget them!
As Leighton heads back to start her second semester, Good Luck by the way, I can’t help but find my mind already wanting the spontaneous summer days and nights… I cannot wait friends!
Be spontaneous. Do something fun. Do something exciting. God didn’t give us life to be so boring that we are stressed with our daily schedule. Take this luxury and be spontaneous!
When you are loving life and doing things out of the ordinary, remember how important it is that you are thankful for the opportunity! Behind every good thing, thanks should be following!
Man am I thankful for today! Until the next spontaneous adventure with the fab 4…
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
