At 6:30 I left and went to Daylight Donuts… My kind of start to the day:))) Might have blown my workout though?!
I hope you all had a happy Tuesday! I am extremely grateful to have my sweet sister Madison Homra back in the Natural State and I am so so glad I got to pick her up from the airport. I love picking up people from the airport! I like it because it is just such a happy time, in most cases. I know when I am on the other end, the one being picked up, I always enjoy the moment, seeing my family or friends, & their sweet, familiar faces!!! I do have a confession… I hate to travel alone. I have discovered that since being in school in Texas. I don’t know what it is, but I just don’t like being alone when I travel? I think it has to do with the fact that when I normally travel, I travel in a pack of 8?! Anyway, I was very excited to pick up Madison with Hillary. No worries… Madison did make me get out of the car to put her bag in, so it was an official pick up, as if I was her driver!! After that we went and ran some errands in Little Rock and had a very fun time.
I would really encourage you to pick someone up from the airport. The best thing to do is go inside and wait for them right outside of security. It’s also fun to make signs or take balloons, even if they haven’t been gone that long. You know, make ’em feel real special. I have also heard of people that make some outrageous sign like “IT’S A BOY!!!”, when the person isn’t expecting. Embarrassing them might make for a little hilarity. Making a person feel special might be better than embarrassing them, huh??…that’s your call!!!
Picking up someone from the airport is something simple that will make you feel happy. Along with simply being happy, comes feeling good. There are actually many things that will make you happy!! I picked up a friend from the airport. I challenge you to do something that makes you happy today. It will make a difference in your life I promise. Happy Wednesday… Stay thankful!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
Cade- you are your mother’s son! Heading to Daylight Donuts after a workout is right up her alley. Thankful for you!!
