I am currently on route from the Little Rock Airport to HOME! The interstate that I normally take towards Stuttgart was been at stand still traffic for hours. One of the workers left the airport at 4:30 and is still on the interstate. Isn’t that insane? So take a minute and pray for all those who are literally stuck. We went another way thankfully. The roads are pretty bad, but at least we will hopefully make it home tonight!
The Dunklins (basically family) were supposed to leave Dallas earlier, but with the weather they ended up on the same flight as me! This is great because I had them on the flight and I was able to ride to Stuttgart with them because the roads are too bad for my Mom and Dad to pick me up… You can’t tell me that is all by luck! Thank God for working that all out! And thanks to the Dunklins for being so awesome!
Anyways, today has been full of packing and other various tasks to prepare for break, but today is one of the best dude’s in my life’s birthday.
When I came to TCU I was somewhat nervous about finding friends who are male. I have always found it easier to make friends with girls (not a bad thing) but I longed for a best friend the same sex as me. I worried about this, but little did I know, God was already working all of that out. Patrick Sullivan is basically my twin and I would not make it through college without him. We met at frog camp, rushed Beta together and it wasn’t until after all that when we became friends… Not really sure what took so long!
1. We watch the same Netflix shows which is great because everyone loves having someone to chat with about the drama of a Netflix series.
2. We both have the same fashion sense
3. We both have the sassy attitude
4. We both are very good at complaining, but at the end of the day we will suck it up and deal with it.
5. We both love home
6. We both have Southern Accents
7. We are both beta’s
8. We both have a love for travel
9. We both love the latest movies, music, and books.
10. We both love the Lord
11. We both have lots of fun times ahead
From the weekly canes after chapter to the texts that make me laugh so hard to learning about every Broadway Musical via Survey of Musical Theater, I could not have done freshmen year without you. Thanks for letting me use your room, watching PLL every Tuesday, encouraging me be the best me, and occasionally telling people my blog is called “Single and Thankful”. There is never a dull moment! I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate in NYC in 4 days… This is going to be the best break in the best city with the best mom’s and best friends! I am pumped! You my dude make life extra good! Thanks for making it so easy to be thankful!
On the bright side of this weather, it’s spring break and I am almost home! Don’t let things put a damper on life… No damper can stop you from being thankful! Well my bed is calling my name… So so thankful for all the good things in life. Family, friends and Spring Break 2015.
Stay warm! Stay thankful!
Happy Birthday Patrick!!!
