These obstacles are going to be a little difficult because I am at the point in the semester where I really need to make good grades before finals get here. This also doesn’t include all the little things going on, plus being social. I also, of course, want to have a good schedule for next semester, but the process of making that can also be a little stressful.
At first I was looking at these obstacles with a lot of worry. That is a perfect example of the devil working at me. But that is not at all how we should look at obstacles we face in life. We should see those as challenges from God. He gives us the challenges to teach us and help us grow, but most importantly He gives us these as ways to bring us closer to Him. He wants us to rely on him and trust Him. He would never give us more than we can handle. I just have to remember that in the coming weeks.
I am in accounting because I am a business minor, but being in this class has shown me how much I don’t enjoy business. It looks good and yes, I have a business, but it causes me more stress that I don’t need in my life. It could be accounting, but I have been considering changing my minor. This test tomorrow will tell me a lot and also I am meeting with my advisor to help me make my spring semester schedule so hopefully he can provide some insight. I ask that you all say a prayer that God will make the decision clear on what I need to do. I have been praying on it for a while, but it is getting down to decision time. So prayers tomorrow and in the coming weeks in general would be much appreciated.
Remember, how we see the obstacles in front of us will make the biggest difference once we make it to the top of the mountain. Funny thing is that these weeks will fly by and I will look back and see how God had a hand in everything. That moment at the top of the mountain where you can see everything is the best thing in the world. God help us lean on you when the obstacles line up. They may be tough or they may be the last thing on earth we want to do, but are how we live life with you. They make us smarter, stronger, and thankful.
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
