1. I love Instagram. It is my FAVORITE social media account. When Southern and Thankful grew and I decided I wanted to design and sell shirts I decided to change my Instagram username to “@southernandthankful” because well that is who I am. Fast forward almost a year later and it has grown more than I ever thought it would. Praise God for that. But since it is growing so much, I decided it was best to separate the two. I have great followers and I always appreciate the support and love they show me. I didn’t really want to separate them, but it is the right thing to do since this is transforming into more of a business than a hobby. It is sad having to “start over” after working hard to gain a following, but I know it is for all the right reasons and I am hoping it won’t be long until I feel like I have two great accounts. So if you want to keep up with Southern and Thankful as far as shirts, inspiration, and what not, follow the new @southernandthankful account at:

2. We have had the ability for customers to “order” Southern and Thankful shirts on this website, which has been great. But like I said, since this has grown so much we now have an official “shop” page where you can actually purchase a shirt(s), you will have a cart, you will provide all your shipping information, you will then pay for it like you do on any other online site, you will order and receive a order conformation e-mail, and then when we ship it you will get a shipping conformation e-mail… SOOOOOO COOL, RIGHT?! I mean y’all this is a pretty big deal for me!! I feel all official now and very organized! I hope this will also make it easier for my customers! Check it out at:

3. Normally at the end of a month I will write about where a percentage of the month’s sales is going to go towards. I so value giving back and I think it is important that through your purchases, Southern and Thankful helps others in some way. I have now decided to share this information at the beginning of the month that way you can know who or what you are supporting by purchasing Southern and Thankful. The month of December was dedicated to St. Jude/Price Hancock, who sadly recently passed away at the age of 14 due to cancer. I announced that and encouraged people to wear Southern and Thankful in honor of Price, but he has had such an impact on this town that I want to take the time to be thankful for that. So any shirt you purchase in the month of January will be in honor of Price! To read more about that visit:

Also, huge thank you to Hannah Oliver for the cool mission statement design below! How cool is that y’all?
I thank you all SO much for the support. And I hope you all are just as excited as I am. Remember, follow our new Instagram, check out the new shop, and if you order a shirt it will be in honor of such a strong boy and it will help many others! I am so thankful I get to do fun things like this. There is nothing better than being Southern and Thankful!!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
