THANKFUL FOR: MY SEGWAY SQUAD

January 27, 2016Uncategorized

One thing, out of many, that I love about my family is that they are not afraid to do fun things. We don’t let many things hold us back, and we usually make the best memories. Zip lining, paragliding, skiing, sledding, tubing, etc., are some of the things that we have done in the past and I have always enjoyed that. We typically do these adventurous things when we travel and because we do this I feel like I always see the world from a different point of view. It is really cool to be able to say that and think to times when I did these “bucket list” items at such a young age. My family is so great for supporting that.

One of our recent fav things to do is Segway. A Segway is a two-wheeled motorized personal vehicle consisting of a platform for the feet mounted above an axle and an upright post surmounted by handles.(straight from the dictionary y’all.) I mean anytime I go anywhere I always seem to suggest riding Segway’s. We have ridden them at Big Cedar Lodge and my aunt and I rode them in Washington D.C. (best thing ever). Well when the fam comes to Dallas and you aren’t really sure what to do you, of course, book a Segway Tour. So yes, on Saturday we Segwayed through a city we have all seen, but decided to be adventurous and see it differently. It was really fun. We rode all around downtown and even went to the spot Kennedy was shot.

My favorite thing is the looks when you are the one on those things.
1. People look at you like they really wish they were you. Mostly because they are walking and I was riding.
2. Kids look amazed and then proceed to chase you. Their parents then look very angry.
3. Some look at you like you are crazy.
4. Some don’t give you the time of day.

Either way Segway’s are a great way to see a city. My family and I highly recommend it.

Again, I am just thankful for a fun adventurous seeking family. Until the next Segway ride…. We will stay thankful!

Also, I have an interview tomorrow and I would really like some prayers please. It is going to be a different interview than any I have had before, which is fine, but it does make me a little nervous. So I will be happy to have any prayers… I know you all are great at that!

The week is on the downhill slope… be thankful. Oh and if you want to join our Segway Squad we are now accepting applications!

Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful

Hey There

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God’s steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. A recent graduate from Texas Christian University who loves pop culture, TikToks, and dress pants that make you do a double take.  I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks! Join me!
