Boys, we made it! If we are being technical here, it is official initiation day which means in less that 24 hours we will officially be Beta’s. Looking back, I love that our pledge class is so diverse, but at the same time we bring that all together to make a great group as a whole. All of our many qualities, lessons, experiences, and talents make us a great group. I am proud to say that I am part of the Epsilon class of Beta Theta Pi. Adam, Alec, Andre, Carson, John, Ben, Ben, Billy, Cal, CoAdy, Cole, Cy, Noah, Ray, Donny, Michael, Grant, Greg, Jack, Jake, Jason, Joe, JR, Landon, Kyle, Marco, Michael, Patrick, Patrick, Rob, Trevor, Ryan, Thomas, Will, Zach, and Brennan thank you for making this semester of pledge ship so great. I could spend hours and hours thanking each of you individually, but that would take too long. I am thankful for you all in more ways that one and I don’t think I will ever be able to truly say that enough. You all have been what it seems like I have been looking for my whole life. We all are so similar in values and we all are about to become official Beta’s! How awesome is that? Today is the beginning of something new. Pledge ship has been great and full of memories, but I can honestly say I think we are ready for this next step and I am excited to see what it brings. I cannot think of better group to go through this with and I am thankful that God placed each one of us here. We have learned what it means and how to be a Beta. With these important factors in mind, we will succeed in the years to come. It is amazing how much I have grown this semester. The college transition has not been easy and at times it has seemed impossible for me, but you all were always there on the group me or right outside my door reminding me that it was worth it. For that I am forever thankful. I appreciate the kind words and I appreciate how loving you all are towards me and each other. Funny how that has happened in such a short amount of time, huh? I am excited to join the rest of the brotherhood, but know that you all were my brothers first and you will be my brothers last. I love you all for different reasons and I cannot believe this day is finally here. Take a little time to reflect on these past 10 weeks and take time to reflect on who has been there. Be thankful for this time and be thankful for each other. I know I could not have done it without y’all. Tonight it becomes official and tonight we are forever linked by the common bound of Beta. There is nothing else to be more thankful for at this moment. Congrats Boys….You are my pledge class and you are my brothers… I am forever thankful. Thank you Beta for the pledge process and for all it and you all have given me! Today is the day… “Hurrah, boys, hurrah!”
