I must say I have got the best parents in the world. Right now the area where I live, the Greek, is currently under construction and the move out process is going to be insane. I really wanted to try and avoid that and luckily my parents were able to work out coming before it all got under way. We had to take everything from the second floor of my fraternity house outside around the corner and down the gate, where we then climbed on a step ladder to hand it over to my Mom on the other side so that she could put it in the car. It was quite the process! We were also trying to beat the storm that was about to roll in. Needless to say, after some hard work the mission was successful!
I had a 15 page paper due on Tuesday and a design project and 6 page paper due on Wednesday. They came Tuesday afternoon, but I still had things to get done. My parents were so helpful. They then took my friends and me to dinner. After dinner the storm was about to hit and my sweet mother drove my friend and me back to campus in my car and then drove herself back to her hotel in the middle of the storm. She was kind enough to take my car so that it would not receive any hail damage. She then picked me up the next morning at 8 a.m. to go print my project and then we met my Dad for breakfast. They then took me to park my car, we all piled in their car, they dropped me off at class, and back to Arkansas they went. It was a very fast and busy time, but I really loved getting to see them. I cannot even begin to explain to you how awesome it is to feel so loved and encouraged during this stressful time. Mom and Dad, thank you SO much. I do not know what I would do without you!!
Prayers for all of us as we finish out the semester, move out, and start the summer! I am really ready to be done with classes, but not so much ready to leave TCU! Here’s to soaking up the last few days as a sophomore and being extremely thankful for that!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
