THANKFUL FOR: MEMORABLE MONDAY’S

April 27, 2015Uncategorized

It is that time in the semester and if I can make it to this time next week it will be a literal miracle. With one day of classes left for me, 2 finals and a project due on Monday I am in a huge state of bittersweetness. How is this year already over? How have I made it this far? (lol)
It is all just very crazy and stressful to me. I have also been up since 6:30 and I believe I am losing my mind so that’s that.

Anyways, today I want to pay a little tribute to my typical Monday here at TCU. I actually typically don’t like Monday’s so that was something new I liked about college. My freshman year experience would not have been same it if weren’t for the wonderful organization of STUFO. If you keep up with my life then you know I adore giving tours to prospective students. It has been one of my favorite things about TCU this far and I am so appreciate that I am able to give back in that way. Today was the last tour for the semester because the semester is sadly almost over. It is hard to believe the next time I give one of those I will be a sophomore. Okay new subject.
I do have to give a little shout out to my awesome CO. Justine, I could not have been paired with a better person for my first semester with this job. I have enjoyed every backwards step with you my friend. I was so nervous about things at first and you made me feel so welcome. Just like I know you do for all of those that we show around the campus. I have learned so much from you it is crazy. You have helped me all along the way and it is easy to say that I am thankful for you. It would not have been the same if it weren’t for you. Thanks for putting up with my tour selfies, adding things that I forget, and supporting me though it all. Thank you God for horned frogs like Justine Grace.
I will miss the tours and the many selfies, but next semester I will be back and I already can’t wait!

Another thing I love about Monday’s are the dates I have at Chick Fil A. My friend Hunter and I started going at the same time and now we just show up every week on Monday and sit with each other. The company always varies, but you can always bet Hunter and I will be at Chick Fil A on Mondays at 2. It has been a fun tradition for this second semester. One full of great fellowship and friendship. That is something to be thankful for I’d say.

Here’s to making it to this time next week… That’s is all I need in life right now. Prayers would be greatly appreciated as I wrap up Freshman year… Yes, a piece of my heart breaks every time I say that. Needless to say I am overly thankful today!

Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful

Hey There

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God’s steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
