Another game day in Fort Worth, another chance for me to try and appear on the big screen. I’m not saying that I haven’t been on there before, but I am saying that I have never seen myself on that big thing. Today was the day ladies and gents… Someone even told me that they saw me on it… How great is that? I mean I know it is not that big of a deal, but that has kinda been my goal. I just wanted to see myself on there once. Boy was I on there! I feel like I looked stupid, but I threw up my frog and tried to look my best! Game days are fun, being on the jumbo torn is fun, frog friends are fun, and wearing purple is fun.
Also, to the person who was walking behind me tonight that said, “That pledge must have forgotten the TCU colors. What an idiot wearing blue.” First off, I had on purple shorts. Second, you appeared to be a grown man. You aren’t in college so don’t call me pledge. Three, either you are color blind or you were drunk. I would bet drunk is the right answer, but I am not going to judge you.
I am sorry, but that really made me mad. Obliviously I was not going to say anything to him, but I just had to express my frustration! Some people just do not know how to behave themselves. So to the man, who needs to learn a thing or to, I am thankful for you because you make me glad I was raised right my parents and you make me thankful for my fashion sense. I have always been my own person and if I want to wear purple shorts I will. Just a little lesson for you all… Do not behave in a manor like this. It is embarrassing. Also, be thankful that you have the sense to know how to act.
Even though this was not very nice, I still had a great day! I mean what more to be thankful for then making it on the jumbotron AND learning from some life lessons. I’ll take what I can get and no matter what, I will be thankful. Behave the right way, make the most of everyday, and when you are just about to fall asleep tonight, take a moment to be thankful for the day!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
