When thinking about today, I was having a hard time deciding what to be thankful for because there is just so much. Today, when I was sitting in church it came to me what the topic for this post today should be on this glorious Easter Sunday. Today I am thankful for the joyous blessings in my life… Basically meaning that I am thankful for anything that brings me joy. God and Jesus are two of the biggest things that bring me joy and I realized this today as I sat in my home church, overjoyed by everything around me. Family, friends, bright colors, smiles, and just having everyone in the same place thankful for the same thing… Now that is rare! I am really blessed to have been back home in my home church surrounded by loved ones all rejoicing in the same thing. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us all those years, and the least we can do is be thankful for him.
I am sure you all are chomping at the bit to hear what my friend thought about the trip to Stuttgart, but no worries, I am saving that for tomorrow. I am pretty tired and don’t feel all that great so I am going straight to bed.
Prayers for all those who are searching so desperately for something… May they find Jesus today. Also, prayers for me that I get to feeling better. When you aren’t yourself things just don’t really seem to go well. I need this stuff to get gone.
Sorry for the short post, but I do recommend that you go back and look at yesterday’s. It prepared me for this day and I hope you get something out of it. Also, for more fun head to my Facebook page and watch the video of the typical family holiday celebration…. How I love these days with the fam.
Jesus, I am thankful for you and your sacrifice. Without it, I would not be this blessed…that is something to be thankful for indeed. Happy Easter!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
