I have to brag on Hill!! God opened the door to Heartlight at last minute for Hillary and she walked right through that door and made the most of every single day. Which is what I believe they needed. Heartlight offers help and hope to teens and parents who are in a broken world. They have a boarding school and Hillary has been living there and helping the girls for the past year. That is so amazing. I don’t know because I wasn’t there, but I do know they needed someone like Hillary. She is a light and a light is always needed, especially to those who are broken. I can’t even begin to imagine the impact Hillary had at this place. I mean at times this job was probably not what Hillary expected, but I know she learned and I know she made a difference. She used a great gift God gave her. For that I want to congratulate her! Doing something like that takes a special person with a special heart. That is why God opened that door for her. Hillary listened to Him. She followed the path He had in store for her. I think it is so cool to go where God calls. Congratulations on a wonderful year of doing God’s work. I am so so proud of you!! Your mark at Heartlight and on me will always be a blessing. Many people are thankful for you!
I would also like to point out that Hill is moving back to Dallas for the next two years at least and that means she will be less than an hour away from me!! I can’t wait to send time with her in the great state of Texas. I am so thankful God is leading her back my way. I was really starting to miss her!
Also, yes I got an amazing camera for my birthday and I can’t wait to take cool pics and share with you!! Another reason why birthdays are great!
So I hope the surprise was worth it. That’s the one time and one person I would hide in the back of a closet for. We love you Hill and we are so so proud of the work you have done and will continue to do. I am so thankful for you and the example you set for us all. Follow where God leads…He won’t steer you wrong!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
