As soon as school gets out kids race to Sonic before happy hour is up. The shops flood with those who have just received their paychecks for the week because they are now ready to shop. Some get out of town for the weekend. Some talk about the 5 dinner options they have as far as going out to eat. Some drive by the local cinema to see what is showing and when. Some are just happy to go home, order in pizza, and sit on the couch. The mood in a small town is just so different, yet so happy at the same time. I think you have to be from a small town to really understand. The options aren’t endless for what citizens in a small town can do on a Friday night, but that doesn’t limit people, it almost makes them more excited. Some people probably do the same thing every Friday night in a small town. And they are just as happy when Friday roles around to do the same thing because that is the atmosphere in a small town.
Sometimes you forget the little things. I love being in Stuttgart, AR, on Friday’s because it is almost better than a Friday anywhere else in the world. That is something to be thankful for!
