THANKFUL FOR: DIAMONDS

April 1, 2016Uncategorized

I am amazed, blessed, and oh so thankful that I was able to design and put another shirt on sale!! I think I am the busiest I have ever been, yet somehow I am able to continue this little venture. It really does surprise me. I can remember being so overwhelmed with the thought of doing Southern and Thankful and being a full time student at the same time. Well look at me now!! Sorry, I just needed to pat myself on the back!

Funny thing, I am not a sporty guy at all. If you know me then it should be quite obvious to you. When I came up with this idea the first thing my Dad asked was if I was actually thankful for baseball. When he asked I knew that I have not ever really been thankful for baseball, but I know that so many people are. Part of the reason why I stop everyday and find something from the day to be thankful for is because often I learn something new or I am shown something new that I never even knew I could be thankful for. Though I have never played baseball I have some great memories growing up going to baseball games. They are also really popular with my family when we travel because my dad and brother are really big baseball people. They even collect baseball cards. I was also thinking back to all the Arkansas Traveler’s games I have been to over the years. Always such a fun time! I remember going one day during school and loving missing school for baseball. I also think about all the baseball games I have been to cheering on my younger brother. Though I probably should try and go to more, I have been to several and I have had my fair share of popcorn in the stands. Bottom line is that no matter what is going on in my life there have been times where I have been thankful for the baseball diamond. No, I cannot say I have personally ever been out on the diamond to play, but in another lifetime I imagine Cade Bethea would like to play baseball.

I didn’t really make this shirt to show that I have personally fallen in love with the game of baseball, but instead I made this shirt because I know the joy baseball and softball bring to so many people. They live for the game and though I don’t really live for the game, at times it has brought me a different type of joy. If it makes other people happy and I can be happy for it in the process then I am going to be thankful for it.

I encourage you all to check out the new shirts. I will proudly be wearing mine. I made sure and made them so they could be for softball or baseball…. Hence the name of the shirt. Not to be confused with every females favorite accessory. If you happen to wear it to a game please please please take a picture and send it to me/tag me  and/or use the #southernandthankful. I love to see that others are thankful like me!

Take me out to the ball game, but first let’s not forget to wear the new Southern and Thankful shirt!!!

S/O to the big man upstairs for blessing me with this gift I call Southern and Thankful!

Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankfu
