1. I am literally in the sky and I like to think I’m on cloud nine!
2. I am almost home!! HOME HOME HOME!! ARKANSAS!!! YAY YAY YAY!!
I have talked some about how stressful this semester has been and how sophomore year as a whole is a lot harder than freshman year, as far as classes and activities are concerned. With that being said I just haven’t had a whole lot of time to go home. I went home a decent amount last semester. Not an alarming amount, but compared to this year it felt like a lot more. I have only been home once this whole semester and it was for a weekend, two months ago. When I said this out loud last week it was very surprising to me. November, especially has been a lot to handle. I have found myself wanting to go home more than normal this month during all those stressful times. I thought that was really weird, but then last week when I actually took some time to think about everything I realized I wanted to go home so badly at times because I haven’t been home. When you are stressed the one place you want to be is in your bed surrounded by your family. Praise the Lord I am on my way now!! Thank goodness for that!!
This is such an exciting week. Not only is it thanksgiving, but in Stuttgart, AR, it is the wings over the Grand Prairie festival. The Grand Prairie is a pretty big deal in my small town. It is all I have known over this thankful holiday and I am excited to share all the great things about thanksgiving this week in my hometown because I will be there!!
I also have some cool surprises as far as Southern and Thankful is concerned! I think you’ll want to keep your eye out, if you know what I mean!
No matter where you are right now I hope you take a small second to be thankful for being able to come home. You could be at home right now, home could be down the street, or home could be on the other side of the globe. The cool thing is that we all have a home and we all have to admit going home is something we can all be thankful for.
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
