I would ask that you please keep me in your prayers because I really want to do well on these exams. I have been studying pretty hard, which means I hope it all pays off. With all this hard studying, I was in much need of a break. Just when I am in need, leave it to Hillary Dunklin to invite me to brunch.
In case you all didn’t know, brunch is my favorite meal of the day. I can eat breakfast food anytime. In fact, I love eating breakfast food all the time. When I heard the words brunch, in the midst of my studies, I was so in… especially because it was with Hillary and Olive.
I am so glad it worked out for me to meet them in Dallas today after church. I can not really begin to explain to you all how much I wanted a break. If I can just make it to this time tomorrow all will be right with the world.
Anyways, we went to this great place called Nick and Sam’s. I had been there for dinner before and it was to die for. I couldn’t possibly imagine how wonderful brunch would be there but oh was it good. They had a very nice buffet full of all great things, including this Captain Crunch French toast. It was literally the best of both worlds. Cereal and French Toast… nothing better. I enjoyed my time catching up with them and I obviously enjoyed the food just as much.
Today I am thankful for this delicious French toast because it was simply much needed. Not because I needed food, but because I needed something to help me power through this somewhat stressful day tomorrow. I am thankful that good company and good food did the job for me.
I would really appreciate some prayers. Somehow I have never had two college exams in one day. I am a tad nervous about that, but luckily they are far enough apart that I can prepare in between. It is so crazy to think that freshman year is almost over. I am really not too sure how I feel about that…
This time tomorrow (hopefully) I will be one happy/thankful boy. I will always be thankful, but killing these finals would be helpful also.
Don’t forget to start your week full of thanks in your heart!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
