In case you somehow missed the big announcement, I have released my first line of Southern and Thankful T-Shirts & a tank! And yes, I said first, which means there will be more to come. I thought and prayed a lot about this big decision because if you recall, I am still in college, but felt like God placed it on my heart to start this journey sooner rather than later. I am so excited!!! To see more photographs of the shirts, to order a shirt/tank, or to learn more about the new line please visit:
I do have to tell you that there are several people who deserve a huge thanks for their help and love they have shown to me during this time. I must say this whole clothing idea seemed a lot easier than it actually is. I was planning to launch this shirt on Friday, but on Wednesday we realized that all the shirts we were preparing to sell had “thankkful” on the pocket, which is not how you spell thankful. So, yes.. that was a stressful day. I couldn’t have done it without the advice from my Mom, Aunt, and Dad. I sure am enjoying learning about business & find it helpful that you have developed patience, probably from other experiences with me?! Thanks for supporting my dreams and loving me for who I am. Thank you to Stephanie, Maycen, and Hannah Oliver for being my models and helping me capture the best of my brand. You all are rockstars! Thank you to my blogging friends who ordered my shirts and continue to share them with their audiences. That is so cool and so kind of you. Thank you to everyone at Coker Hampton for helping & supporting me. Thank you to my friends, family, and fellow Horned Frogs who bought shirts, shared my pictures, shared my website, commented, liked, inboxed, and whatever else you did to support me today and always. To those of you who bought shirts today, I promise I will never forget. . It means the world to me, HONESTLY! Thank you to Houndstooth Press for taking my designs (designed with the help of Hannah Oliver too)to the next level, for printing my shirts, and for helping when things went downhill fast. I am so thankful I found you. Lastly, I want to thank God for giving me Southern and Thankful. I never imagined it would come to this, but that just shows you that God has bigger plans than we can ever think of or imagine.
Last night I could barely sleep because I was excited! Mostly nervous, but excited!! When you put so much time, resources and energy into something, you just want it to succeed. I have always struggled with things not succeeding, or letting the words of another person make a decision for me, but this time it was different. I knew before this even started that I was going to make this succeed. Even if I woke up and stared at my shirts all day with no orders, it was going to succeed. It was going to succeed because I was proud of it, and I felt like it was what I was called to do. I am so thankful that when I got to the office today I became overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with orders! Overwhelmed with love! Overwhelmed with support!
Overwhelmed with thanks! Thank you Lord for a day full of being overwhelmed!!!!I encourage you to spread the word about this new brand because we are here, and oh do we have some fun things planned! I mean it helps that we sold half of the collection in the first day, but no matter what happened today, I can promise we are ALWAYS going to be Southern and Thankful! I am already excited to continue blogging, continue selling, and continue creating. This ride is going to be one of the best of my life… Or at least that’s what God is saying to me now. Thanks for everything today. My heart is so very full of love for your kindness! Thanks for being #southernandthankful!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
Yay Cade! So proud of you!
