Today I was scrolling through Facebook and I saw a post that made me SO happy. Asher Ray is the cutest little girl in Arkansas who is currently battling Ewings Sarcoma (a form of cancer) at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. I do not personally know Asher, but she has made a huge impact on our community and I have been following her battle for a very long time. I first remember hearing about Asher when I was in the 10th grade. I love seeing the things her family posts on Facebook because she looks like the coolest little girl. Asher had a very important doctor’s appointment today. Earlier I saw a post that her mother put on Facebook that reads:
This is good news folks.
Ct chest with slight decrease in larger lung nodule. Was 1.5×1.4 and now 1.1×1. A few of very tiny nodules with slight increase. No new nodules.
No news on the bone scan yet. MRI has been moved up to 345.
KEEP PRAYING WARRIORS!”
That is such great news and just goes to show the power of prayer. I have loved following Asher’s journey because it has showed me the power of prayer in many different ways. I highly encourage you all to do a couple of things:
1. Purchase a Southern and Thankful shirt at some point this month and a part of that purchase will go towards Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) in honor of Asher.
2. Go to the link below and take 2 minutes to send a FREE valentines day card to patients at ACH. This is one of the best things I have ever seen and I encourage you to take your time to make these kids valentines day extra special. Everyone deserves to feel loved. https://giving.archildrens.org/valentine
3. Asher has some of the best prayer warriors. Please join me in praying for her and all the other children at ACH. I was so pleased to see that Asher got good news today and I am praying that more good news is to come.
4. To keep up with Asher, follow her Facebook page at the link below. Some of the pictures and videos will make you smile for sure!
Asher has made such an impact on my life and I do not even know that sweet girl. She has such a great personality from what I can tell. I am so honored to support her this month. Please join me in being thankful for Asher Ray and the power of prayer!
