Favorite day of the week: Sunday
Favorite place to be: Arkansas County
Combine the two, with a sunny sky and you my friends have a pretty much perfect day! I have lots of Sundays left, but the sad thing being not many of them will be in Arkansas County, or at least not for a while. So today I figured I better take in all that this day is. This day is Sunday morning church. This day is Sunday lunch with the family. (who ever is present) This day is watching my dad take his nap. This day is seeing my mom watch mean girls for the 1000 time. This day is me planning to do lots of things and only doing about one. This day is me curled up on the white couch in my gray blanket watching netflix. This day is making a trip to walmart and seeing everyone and there mommas. This day is time spent with the family. This day is being thankful. This day is my absolute favorite. I am so thankful for this day. I never really realized how much I loved Sundays in Arkansas County until I realized not many were left. Sad huh? We often aren’t very thankful for something until it is out of our hands. Without this blog I probably would have been one of those people, but luckily I was able to enjoy this day and be thankful. I encourage you to stop and think about everyday things that come so easy to us. What is it you would miss if gone? Stop and thank God for it. I know I am sure glad I did!
It is all becoming so real…I can’t get over it!! I believe today started the first round of freshman moving to college. Take a minute and say a prayer for those who have began the journey and those who will be starting of so shortly! Don’t forget us as we venture into this scary, but exciting time! I know I appreciate it and I am willing to bet so will every one else. Thank you God. Thank you for all the many blessings in this life. Thank you for college kids. Thank you for Sundays in Arkansas County!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
