I have my final paper due for my english class
on Thursday. The final is a group project so I don’t have to personally write my own paper. This paper is the biggest one because it is worth the most points and it is a lengthy research paper. It has taken a good chunk of my time, but I am almost ready to turn it in! I have the coolest english teacher ever y’all. She is a TCU alum and she makes class fun. She jokes with us and I can tell she tries to brighten our day, everyday. On top of making class enjoyable, I have really learned a lot from her about my writing skills. She is what every teacher should be like. I mean she makes me want to be a teacher if that tells you anything. She is fresh and positive and brings a great vibe to the classroom. I even saw her at one of the TCU games and she took the time to say hello. I am really going to miss being in her classroom next semester. She truly makes a difference in my day!Anyways, you are probably wondering why I am telling you all this! For every paper we have had, my professor allows us to send a draft to her and she will look at it and give you advice and critique your work so that you can have the best paper possible. She does this for every student. She takes her time to do this because she wants to see us succeed. She doesn’t fix things word for word, but she provides her opinion and expertise, which helps us students learn in a different way. I am so thankful that she does this. I didn’t really realize it until now because I never really thought about all the time and work she puts into to us from outside the classroom. Huge thank you to her for being such a great professor. She makes waking up everyday and going to class so worth it. I hope others can learn a thing or two from her. She knows my name. She knows I appreciate english and now I hope she knows I appreciate her!
If TCU or my professor sees this, I want them to know that I am thankful for great faculty on this campus. I feel blessed by it everyday! I would not be the student I am
today if it weren’t for amazing, caring professors like my english professor! I think I will be thankful for that for the rest of my life. They are making an impact now that I know I will remember and use in my own life as I grow up. Sounds like the perfect thing to be thankful for! Also, huge thanks to my sweet friend Nikki, who always takes the time to edit my papers! I actually couldnt turn my papers in if it weren’t for her. We all know I sometimes struggle with grammar and spelling. Thanks Nikki… I am thankful for you on the regular. And not because you correct my work, but because you take the time to be an amazing friend to me!
I am blessed with great professors, like this one, an outstanding university, and a stellar friend! Couldn’t ask for anything better to be thankful for!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
