I am sure you all are wondering where I have been and the answer you are looking for is HOME! It is my spring break, which is weird because there is snow on the ground, but nonetheless I am happy to be home. I arrived home Thursday night and I have been super thankful for all that has been going on. I have seen friends, family, and done a little work. I am may have been blogging, but I can promise if you follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and twitter, you won’t miss what i am doing… I post a lot LOL
Friday- I immediately woke up and I was ready to see my town and the people. Being gone for two months (the longest I have ever been away from home and some of my family) I was ready. I woke up early (for me) and went down for breakfast at my Janjan and Bia’s (nothing beats that)
After that I caught up with my dad and went to the CH social shop for some excitement. I am so proud of my aunt, mom, and dad for all the hard work they have been doing with this. It looks absolutely great. I cannot wait to spend lots of time there this summer. I went to help my aunt and I also went to see my candles. If you saw my previous insta post, then you knew I hinted at them. And they are in and they are fabulous.
The “Southern and Thankful” Candle can be purchased via Coker Hampton. Check out all there social media, go in store, visit the social shop, or contact me and I can point you in the right direction. Being a full time college student this isn’t something I can really manage, but I promise they are great and you need one. The scent is very neutral. It is not feminine, but it is not necessarily for a man. I wanted it to appeal to anyone! It has a great smell and those who have already purchased it have loved it. I have heard nothing, but great things!
After that I spent the night with my Janjan, Bia, Mills Auntie Kiss, and Uncle Jeff because my parents were out of town for the night. Made good time with them! Janjan made all of my favorite things, including mashed potatoes and we had a fun night. I was also super happy because my long lost twin best friends came by and chatted with us for a while. Haley and Hannah have always been a bright light in my life and I am so thankful I got to spend a little time with them this weekend.
Saturday- I did things around town and then got to spend some time with Maycen and Leighton in Little Rock. Yes, we did miss Stephanie, but due to the weather she was not able to meet us. It was not the same, but she was there in spirit. We along with the sweet Emily Ann went to Chuy’s (great food) and to the movie. We went to see the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) Isn’t that horrible? Despite the meaning, it was a pretty good movie with a good meaning. I am so thankful that I got this time with my friends. It is so nice how things just seem to pick off right where they left off. I love you ladies!!!
Today- I went to my home church. Such a great feeling. Saw a grown man baptized reminding me just how amazing God is… to everyone! Went to lunch with the normal group, finished a paper, spent time with Madison, ate cookie dough, packed for NYC, ate Dad’s homemade chicken and dumplings, caught up on my TV shows and focused on how thankful I was for the past two days.
Moral of this blog:
1. Check out the Southern and Thankful candles. May they always remind you to be thankful.
2. Take the time be thankful for the moment you are in. The people you are supported by. The things that make you thankful for life. That is what I did this weekend.
It was a nice little breather and now I am just about ready to take this thankful attitude to the big apple. Stay tuned and stay thankful!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
It’s always good to go HOME!!! Even though I have not lived in Stuttgart full time since I was in High School- it’s still home to me.
Have fun in NYC! I’m thankful for you?
