So this is such a typical item to be thankful for, but today I am so THANKFUL for my cell phone. Those of you who know me know that I may or may not be obsessed with my cell phone. I’ve never really thought to be thankful for it because its just one of those things I have, ya know? Kinda like it’s a given or something, but honestly it’s not a given. Cell phones are great for communication and I also know they have brought negative effects, like everything in life, but as new college freshman living over six hours away… it is a pure blessing. I can’t imagine having to write my family and friends to keep in contact. I love being able to call them when I want and I love being able to keep them updated and also I want to know how they are. I know its random, but like I said I had never thought about the importance of it until recently. Like today, I had an interview (it went good BTW) and I called Hannah Oliver because I knew she would have good advice for the interview. Also, I have found the best time to call someone is when your in commute. So today on my many walks I called Hillary, Stephanie, and my Mom. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without my phone. The phrase, “I’m just a phone call away,” has never really seemed that important to me until I was away. So thank you today God for my cell phone. I don’t think I’ve actually ever thanked you for that, so thank you. Be thankful for things in life that “are a given.” It feels so good to appreciate the things in life you feel like you can’t live without. If anyone ever wants to talk you know that I am truly just a phone call away!
