Hello all and welcome to a new year of Southern and Thankful! It is exciting to look back at all the great things that happned in 2014, like the start of Southern and Thankful, and also dream about various goals for 2015. Let me tell you, I have lots! I hope this will be a great year for me and I know God has great things in store. When I woke up this morning to a new year the coolest thing happned. It was snowing! And I’m not talking about the Southern snow that melts immediately or the next day. I’m talking the big beautiful flakes that made the best view ever. It was coming down really hard and it was so pretty. This is when I knew that it was going to be a great year. God’s beauty was around all today and we even got to have a little sleeding fun in the snow. I rarely see snow, but to see so much on the first day of a new year year, that was perfect! I wish I had a picture to show just how beautiful it was. Of course, we had black eyed pea’s and all the other traditional good luck things to start the new year and spent the day watching all the football games. It was a great start to a new year. I don’t necessarily have resolutions that I want to follow, but I have goals and various other things that I want to accomplish this year. I think New Years always gets a bad rap because people feel like they have to change. God doesn’t want us to necessarly change, he wants us to become better versions of ourselves. If you feel like you are doing great in life, then don’t do anything differently! I encourage you to look at this new year as a opportunity to grow in whatever areas you want! For example, I have a bad tendsncy to worry about all things big and small, and this worry causes me to miss out on a lot of joys in life. One thing I will be trying to improve this year is my ability to live in the momment. I encourage you to work towards improvements and pray for a new year full of bettering oneself! You could always try and be more thankful? That’s a good one that you can’t go wrong with! Happy New Year friends! May 2015 be full of what makes YOU a happy and/or better YOU!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
