Funny story from the weekend:
At Stuttgart High School it is a requirement to have a robot baby for a whole weekend. I had mine in the 9th grade and guess who also had his’ this weekend. Yes, my brother! It’s really funny because I feel like just yesterday I had mine. It is also funny watching him and remembering things from when I had it. He was so great with it and I hope he gets a good grade. We went to lunch in Little Rock before they dropped me off at the airport and the looks we got were to die for. People thought this was a real baby. Good time!
It is
the last Sunday of September, which means I have the honor of sharing where this month’s proceeds from Southern and Thankful sales are going. Since having them at a store in Texas we have money to be given! After being home I was reminded how cancer is impacting my small town. It has been impacting my town for a while, but it seems all of a sudden in the past year or so. Cancer is something I will NEVER understand. I don’t know why God would create something like that, but I do know it has shown me some of the strongest people ever. I was told September was National Child Cancer Month therefore, proceeds will be going towards that effort. It breaks my heart to see anyone struggle with cancer, especially children. To those battling cancer, Southern and Thankful is thankful for YOU! Showing us all that no matter what happens in life we have to keep fighting! This is to you!Everyday is a gift. I feel so fortunate to be living everyday for the Lord. Life and school may be stressful, or we may be battling a disease. Two totally different things, but all that matters is how we look at it. I am thankful to be blessed with family, friends, and a school that I can love. Enjoy each day and be thankful for the blessings you have… All we are promised is today! That I am thankful for!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
