Friday was a super good day because most Fridays are, and also because I was finally able to be reunited with my Mom in Dallas. She was at market and I got to send the day with her, my aunt, and mrs. find, which is always so fun to me. Coker Hampton has some way cute things coming, y’all!! I love going to market and seeing my Mom in her element. Plus, this is like shopping, but 10x better! After working all day, we went out downtown for dinner at a yummy Italian place, where we dined on pizza and pasta. Seriously, so good! I then came back to TCU because today was game day and I just couldn’t miss any of that! I’ll talk all about today’s first home game and how fun it was to be back in the stands on tomorrow’s post because today I have something better to be thankful for.
I would not exist if it weren’t for my father being born on this day.. So yes, Dad I am thankful for you! I know I may not always say it, but you put almost everything you have into Mills and I to make sure that we have such a great life and to make sure that we are happy… I appreciate you everyday for that! I can’t imagine having anyone else as my father. Thank you for teaching me how to have a proper work ethic, for pushing me outside of my comfort zone because you know the importance in that, for keeping me up to date with the latest technology, for answering my phone calls anytime, for providing me with all the tools to start Southern and Thankful as a brand, for cooking amazing meals for our family, for making me smile, for watching the Whitney Houston movie with me, for making sure I am nothing but happy at TCU no matter how hard you have to work, for always always making me feel better (lol its literally your job), and most importantly, for showing me what it is like to live a successful life with Christ at the center. I don’t care what anyone has to say. You are smart, creative, kind, loving, funny, and an excellent father. I don’t really know how we got so lucky! I am super bummed we weren’t celebrating today, but I am super excited to see you in less than a week! I really cannot thank you enough, but I hope you know that I love you more than most things in life… That is a lot! Can’t wait to see you Dad. Sending all my love from Fort Worth! Happiest of Birthdays Dadoo! I am forever grateful for you!
Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
