Today we kicked off the Christmas Festivites with the Bethea Family Christmas! This is just a day spent with my Dad’s side of the family in celebration of Christmas. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see eachother that often, but when we do it is always a nice time catching up. My Dad’s family is from Camden, AR and we always enjoy having them here for Chritmas. Our Ham, Green Bean Bundles, and numerous desserts make our time at Christmas very special. Things of course are always changing in life, but what matters is that we are still able to celebrate this wonderful time of year with eachother. Like I said, I always love our food, but being together is just as great. There is lots of excitement as my cousin prepares to get married in June and of course we are all thrilled! It is also fun just to hear stories and catch up with eachother because that is what family does. My Papaw, Dad’s dad, is always so proud to give us all old money. By old money I mean money that you collect instead of spending. It is always nice of him and something that I love about him! I am now currently sitting in front of the tree and fire watching one of my favorite movies, Home Alone, with my family and I can’t help but think how awful it would be without family, especially during this time of year. Family is so great at Christmas time and that is something I am so thankful for. I am going to pray for those that don’t have anyone or feel alone and I am going to pray that they get to celebrate with friends or anyone during this week. I can’t even imagine. Good thing Kevin’s family ends up back home just in time for Christmas, but for some people wish that, but it never happens. I loved seeing some of my family today and I am so thankful for them. I also look foward to seeing others this week. I encourage you to really love and be thankful for your family this week. I know sometimes it may seem like a pain to have to travel or attend all these Christmas parties, but remember that some don’t even have that option. Be thankful for your family because they bring so much extra joy to the Hoilday season. I also encourage you to pray for those without a family and those traveling to there families this week. I know I would appericate it if I were in there shoes. Such a great way to start this wonderful week! CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE AND I AM THANKFUL!
