Because I am not going home, I needed some things and asked my mom and dad to ship them to me. They sent me the things I asked for, but they also sent me some extra things because they love me and because they are my parents! I got some great candy, a super cool bowtie, and a couple of other things that will come in handy for fall break!
Funny story:
I was close to the post office and I decided to go ahead and get my package. I had a class, but I didn’t think it would be too big. First off, I actually had two! Second, it was much bigger than I expected. I then carried it to my class. It made a nice side table. After class, I got my package and went to the bus stop. The bus has a timed schedule so you can know when it is coming. I waited and waited and waited. The bus never came. I finally put down my package. I had to hold it with both hands because of the size. I was very confused why it never came and I still am. All I know is that I had to carry the big box all the way back to the greek from the academic side of campus. I can’t really explain it, but it was not fun. I could barley see over the box to see where I was going. After walking all the way back, hot, and frustrated with the bus, I opened the box to see that I had some surprises. My parents are the best! Don’t know what I would do without their constant love, support, and packages.
Some people do not enjoy surprises, but I do. I see the joy in them and I do appreciate them. Especially
today! Thanks Mom and Dad! You made my day!Yours Truly,
Southern and Thankful
